Happy 4th blogiversary! Exactly four years ago, I started writing at Odyssey Through Nebraska. Well, technically for the first year, there was a wordpress.com behind the name. (Too bad that I did not realize how inexpensive owning your own domain actually is!) Anyway, for 1,450 plus days, I have been sharing with you all about the places and people of Nebraska, both past and present. Although my pictures have definitely improved, over all my focus is still the same. While I do not see my focus changing, there are several things that I am looking forward for year five of this blog!
During July 2017 …
I plan to continue my Blogiversary tradition of passing on presents to you my readers. Thanks to some generous Nebraska businesses, there will again be several giveaways on “Odyssey Through Nebraska.” Stay tuned …
During July, August and September …
I will continue to be telling you about more #Nebraskapassport places. And on my Facebook page, I will continue to let you know where you can visit the Nebraska Mobile Children’s Museum across the state. Family fun opportunities!
During October and November …
Perhaps before I tell you about my plan for these two months, I should mention something else first. MY FIRST BOOK IS COMING OUT THE END OF OCTOBER. (I know – all caps is kind of annoying – but isn’t this a good reason to use all capital letters!) I am super excited about being able to provide a way for you all to learn about all of Nebraska in a paperback format. This fall, I will be telling you more about Detour Nebraska. In fact, I plan to write a special “Behind the Book” series and will share weekly posts telling you details that were unable to fit into the book. Or stories that might be rather embarrassing such as when I got stuck in the mud (literally!) on my travel tour.
During December …
More”Home for the Holidays” posts will be forthcoming. Several more Nebraska locations celebrate Christmas in a big way. I can’t wait to tell you more. But I think I can be patient and will manage to refrain from writing “Christmas in July” posts!
During 2018 …
That is six months away, so I am the first to realize that so much can change between now and then. I hope to tell you more about the next season of Nebraska Stories. Beyond that, I plan to continue to share more stories about the people and places of the great state of Nebraska.
Thank you again for being on this “Odyssey Through Nebraska” with me! The journey is much more fun with you all traveling along!
