When I was younger, I used to enjoy moving the furniture around in my room. With dreams of being an interior designer someday, I would draw floor plans and sketch out my dream home. Those dreams definitely ended early on – possibly once I realized what all was involved in that career. Even today though, I do enjoy home tours and decorating magazines. I am certain my husband is grateful that we no longer have HGTV, or all of my redecorating ambitions might be revisited.
When I was offered TWO hours of free design consultation by Interiors Joan and Associates to give away to one of my readers, I was beyond excited. And possibly a bit jealous. Winning 120 minutes with a professional designer? Please, please, please sign me up. (For once, can I pretend that I am just a reader instead of the writer of this blog? Probably not. Just know this … if you win, I might just be showing up at your house the day of the consultation to listen and learn.) This giveaway is worth over $200 – isn’t that generous of them?
Look at all of the amazing results that the thirteen designers have created! From contemporary to traditional to transitional, their goal is to listen to YOUR wants and dreams for your home. They will come to work with you to design your perfect space.
The designer who has graciously is donating his services is Jerome Bergmeier. After an earlier phone conversation with him, I can tell that he would be great to with and is excited to apply his almost two decades of experience to transforming your space. This is his bio found on their website.
Jerome joins Interiors Joan and Associates with 14 years of experience as a designer and high-end furniture buyer for companies throughout Southern California. He lived in Pasadena, Laguna Beach, San Diego and Palm Springs. Moving back to Nebraska to be closer to his family, Jerome brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Interiors Joan and Associates. He is a 1996 graduate of Southeast Community College with a degree in architecture and a 1999 graduate from the Art Institute of Seattle with a degree in interior design.
Jerome is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and has been involved in several design industry events including the Omaha Magic at Midtown event, featuring the design of several condos in the Midtown Crossing development.
When he isn’t busy with his design career, Jerome enjoys traveling throughout the US and Europe, hiking, watching hockey and European autos.
How could you use your two hour design consultation time? Here are several ideas.
- Focus on transforming one room by rearranging and possibly picking out new paint and/or new accessories or even furniture
- Do a whole house walk through and focus on making your home more cohesive.
- Work on better space planning
- Develop better systems of organization
- Create a more comfortable floor plan for your busiest spaces
Not only can Jerome come to your place, but you also might choose to visit their show rooms. Interiors Joan and Associates have lovely spaces in both Lincoln and Omaha where you can see ideas put into action. Speaking of these two metro areas, this giveaway is primarily those who live in or near Lincoln or Omaha. Although if you want to pay for mileage to your part of the plains, that could be arranged …
To be eligible to win this TWO hour design consultation, please comment below on which part of your house you wish that you could redecorate. I will be announcing the winner on 8/12/15 on my next Wednesday Wrap-up Post.

I would love ideas for my living room / dining room area.
My living room is in desperate need of a design consultant! (Well actually my whole house could use some help- it’s not my strong suit)
We moved just over a year ago, and my living room doesn’t look right. Maybe it’s the two huge book cases making it feel cluttered. Maybe it’s the two large archways off balancing everything. I don’t know! I can’t tell! I need some help so I know what to do with that room!
Our living room and kitchen are at the top of my list! But than I think of the area we call our school room and I would love help knowing how to organize it better yet make it look awesome.
We have a new home (2012) that we put together “as needed”! We are not using the space in the living room wisely nor are we maximizing the use the this large room, Our furniture is not comfortable for relaxing while watching TV.
Definitely my living room too! I would love for it to feel more welcoming and warm. It’s a bit drab right now. Could use a whole house overhaul too. 🙂
We just bought our first home need to buy furniture. We also have some odd spaces that I am sure have lots of potential but not sure how… I need to know what to buy and where it should go. Please pick us! 🙂
My livingroom/ Dinning room !!!! My whole house needs rearranged !!!
Possibly my kids rooms….they could use some help
My bathrooms need help!
I struggle with making my main floor cohesive when moving from room to room.
Ideas for our foyer and/or kitchen would be fantastic!
I would focus on our family room/kitchen area. This is an amazing offer from these generous designers!
