Architecture Hall has certainly served a lot of purposes. This building is one of the original ones on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Under glass in the library section, visitors can learn more about the building and see the original plans.
Some of the statues that were used for art classes are still around. Because live models were not used, these people helped students learn to draw anatomically correct figures.
Throughout the building, original woodwork has been preserved. Many of the floors are closed off for only student’s use. But from what I could see, many original features have been maintained.
In my upcoming book, A History Lover’s Guide to Lincoln, I enjoy telling you some more of the stories about this interesting building.
