Looking for a way to get into the Christmas tree spirit?  Look no further than the Starry Nights Chrismas tree festival happening this week-end at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.  To benefit the wonderful work of the People’s City Mission, twenty-five trees have been decorated. Each visitor  gets to vote for their three favorites.  I had at least five that would have gotten my vote.  The one that got the most votes from my family was “The Northern Lights.”

Besides getting to view the trees, family activities are also happening.  Here are all the available stations

  • Creation Station: Letters to Santa
  • Creation Station: Face painting and temporary tattoos
  • Creation Station: Ornament Decoration
  • Creation Station: Gingerbread Trees

Cost for admission is only $5 per person or $20 per family. All proceeds benefit the wonderful work of the People’s City Mission and the work they do to help the unfortunate in Lincoln.

Today the event is lasting from 10-4. Tomorrow the activities will last from 10-2. At 6:00 tomorrow evening, they will be auctioning off the beautifully decorated Christmaa trees, again to benefit charity. If you aren’t wanting to dig out your own decorations, you can bid and possibly go home with a new festive tree. That event is free for the public.  Attending the “Starry Nights” event just might become an annual family event.
