This might be a first for me.  Posting a Wordless Wednesday of a place we have not actually visited.  Yet if I waited until later, you would miss out on all of the fun.  (Actually I had hoped to actually tell you about the fun activities a few days earlier, but you know how life goes around Christmas time!)  All week, the Father Flanagan House has been open giving a glimpse into an Irish Christmas.  Visiting this home for holidays gives you a glimpse into Christmas past.

Irish Christmas

Both the photo I posted on Wednesday and the one from today are courtesy photos from this postcard.

Today another event has been added to the plans.  Families can “Visit the Village Christmas Festival” at Boys Town in Omaha.  This is one place in Omaha that we sadly have not visited yet, so I am looking forward to making that happen today.  I plan to post more pictures sometime next week.  If you cannot attend the festivities today, the house is also open for tours tomorrow.  My understanding is that the decorated Christmas house will again be open for tours next week. (I will confirm this today!) To check out the schedule for today’s activities, please visit this Boys Town link.
